NBC established the nation's first permanent radio network in 1926 and was granted the first commercial TV station license in 1941. The network's history includes a number of landmark programs, ranging from "Today" and "Laugh-In" to "Saturday Night Live" and "ER."

The network, which reaches 99 percent of the country, also has exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to the Olympics and Sunday-night NFL games in addition to its primetime and late-night programming.
