``Live With Regis and Kelly'' is your basic morning chat show; the hosts, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, welcome guests to their stage for a short interview and, in the case of musical artists, a performance. They'll occasionally give cooking demonstrations with well-known chefs and showcase the latest fashions with stylists to the stars. But what makes ``Live With Regis and Kelly'' unique is the banter between the hosts. Philbin's original co-host was Kathie Lee Gifford. She left the show in 2000, after which the producers went on an extended search for her replacement. Ripa, a former soap actress, got the job and started in February 2001.
