Premise: Phil Plait is an astronomer, lecturer and author. He's also a skeptic, poking holes in the misuses of science as well as praising the wonders of the real thing. In ``Bad Universe'' he does both, debunking what he believes is a lot of junk science out there and revealing the truth. When you're dealing with the universe, after all, ignorance can be deadly.
