Premise: Supermodel Beverly Johnson is stepping out of the spotlight and opening her home to her family -- daughter Anansa, a plus-size model; son-in-law David, a former football player; and their daughter, Ava -- in an attempt to reconnect with her daughter and to help her growing family get financially ahead in the tough economy. Although Anansa has followed in Beverly's modeling footsteps, the relationship between the two has always been fragile. But following the birth of Ava, Anansa wants to heal the strained relationship with her mother. This docu-series explores the at-times-unpredictable dynamic between mother, daughter and son-in-law as Beverly tries to bond with the couple.
