Premise: The soft-spoken Father Joe Kempf dispenses the message of Jesus to children of all ages with the assistance of his puppet pal, a gruff-sounding but harmless furry blue creature named Big Al. Far from perfect but with a big heart, Al discusses different Gospel values each episode with Father Joe, who also provides a short Scripture reading and a prayer. Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy this ain't, but the team's uplifting words of love and kindness are designed to help many a child, especially those dealing with situations of loss and grief.
