Quick-witted private eye Buddy Faro mysteriously disappeared in 1978 after a woman he was involved with was murdered. When straight-arrow detective and Faro fan Bob Jones finds him 20 years later, the two unite in a crime-solving partnership to make Los Angeles a better place.
