Premise: Joan Lunden hosts this original inspirational series for DirecTV. Customers whose kindness or bravery have impacted the lives of those around them are featured, including a young woman who created a summer camp for children infected with or affected by HIV and AIDS, a successful realtor who felt called to help women in prison change their lives, and a mother who crusades for farm safety following the death of her 11-year-old son on the family's farm. Through the channel's website, viewers can nominate people they feel are true hometown heroes for future episodes.
