Divine Canine: With the Monks of New Skete

Premise: As part of their efforts to cultivate devotion, obedience and fulfillment, the brothers of New Skete, an order of Eastern Orthodox monks, breed dogs, using their bonds with these animals as a way to reach enlightenment and gain a higher awareness and appreciation of the nature and mystery of God. Each episode features the monks in their sprawling monastic community near Cambridge, N.Y., where they use a holistic training approach to transform pups with personality problems into ``divine canines.''
