Premise: ``Face Off'' returns for a fourth season of makeup and special-effects artists competing to show off their skills and potentially win the grand prize package, which includes $100,000 and the opportunity to be a guest lecturer at the Make Up For Ever academies in New York and Paris. Joining the show as a mentor to the contestants is Michael Westmore, an Oscar-winning makeup artist and father of host McKenzie Westmore. This season's crop of 14 contestants includes a former intern for legendary makeup artist Stan Winston who now owns his own effects company, a self-taught SFX makeup artist who honed his skills designing for haunted houses, and a mother of two who had stopped doing makeup before finding renewed inspiration while watching the first season of ``Face Off.'' This season's challenges include creating original comic book superheroes and ``Avatar''-inspired sea creatures.
