Premise: Pop culture enthusiasts used to just collect things related to their interests. Now they collect experiences. ``Fanboy Confessional'' celebrates this revolution, going inside these experiences to reveal the heretofore secret worlds of self-professed ``fanboys'' (and ``fangirls''). Once ridiculed as geeks or nerds, these aficionados now walk proudly in their own skin, even as they dress as zombies and take over a major city, or don brass goggles and throw the inaugural Steampunk World's Fair, or suit up to fight crime as RLSHs -- Real Life Super Heroes. While the series concentrates on the obvious passion these folks display, it also shows they have a healthy measure of self-awareness and keen sense of humor.
