Premise: British journalist and author Joanna Bogle ties on an apron and gets cooking in this series that explains the history behind the dishes and celebrations of religious holidays and occasions. While she's the first to admit she's not an accomplished chef, Bogle is more interested in sharing the customs, heritage and traditions of these special seasons, with the cooking process an enjoyable part of the festivities. Viewers can expect recipes such as saffron buns for St. Lucy's Day or St. John the Baptist's birthday carob cake, and Bogle even discusses crafts like Advent wreaths and Easter baskets.
