Genre: History, Cooking
Premise: Comic Mo Rocca hosts this series that examines the impact of food on our past, present and future. More history lesson than cooking tutorial, each episode focuses on a particular topic (street fare, cheap eats and drinks, Greek food, etc.) and then provides an informative and entertaining background on the subject, as well as pointing out its cultural importance. Rocca cracks jokes and steers the ship, but there's always respected food writers and culinary historians on hand to give weight to the proceedings.
