Premise: ``Friday Night'' featured an eclectic blend of music videos, live musical performances and segments by rising comics. The show went through multiple formats through the years, beginning as an all-music video show in 1983 under the title ``Friday Night Videos.'' The title was shortened to just ``Friday Night'' in 1994 when the show dropped the all-music video format in favor of a more general entertainment and variety format. This format would remain until the show ended in 2000.
