Each episode of ``God's Greatest Hits'' focuses on one well-known hymn -- such as ``Amazing Grace,'' ``Hallelujah'' and ``Wade in the Water'' -- exploring its historical background and origins with the help of critics, world-class musicians and students of religion. During each episode, the song is presented in archival footage, then presented in modern renditions in order to give viewers a new appreciation of the music.
