For a good portion of Monday's "Heroes" season finale, the story chugged along more or less as you'd expect, playing a couple of smart beats and proceeding fairly logically based on events from previous episodes. And then came that preposterous ending.
If there were ever a "Heroes" scene that illustrated both the blessing and the curse that is Sylar, it was the closing one in this week's episode. The guy just ... will ... not ... stay down.
Tonight's very talky installment of "Heroes" sort of hit the pause button on the forward momentum -- but it also filled in a fair amount of information about the past. It was hardly the show's best effort this season, but the flashbacks gave "1961" some extra oomph.
