Premise: Contractor Kristi Hansen uses her passion for improving houses to help homeowners. In each episode, Hansen repairs a family's dilapidated house, suffering from years of neglect, to return it to its former glory. Not only does Hansen fix up the houses, she also gives the homeowners advice, often involving a tough love approach and focusing on how to best maintain a lifelong relationship with their homes.
