Premise: This four-part miniseries offers a look at India as it emerges as the world's newest superpower. The sprawling democracy faces a number of challenges as thousands of years of tradition clash with its current economic boom. While cities are bustling, though, the countryside remains steeped in tradition, a place where everyone works desperately to get by. This documentary series compares and contrasts the two and offers insights into the country's future.
