Premise: Two seemingly different speed machines are compared in each episode of ``Intersections,'' which also takes a look at the people who operate them. The similarities between an 8,000-horsepower hot rod and an F/A-18 fighter jet, for example, are broken down, from the unique fuel combinations and air pressure, to tires, aerodynamics, G-forces and braking, using a combination of interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, 3-D graphics and super-slow-motion photography.
