"The Pauly D Project" will chronicle DelVecchio's life when he's not in Seaside Heights with Snooki and the rest of the "Jersey Shore" gang....
Apparently, MTV had approached the city's government about filming the upcoming Snooki/J-WOWW spinoff in the city, but according to the Jersey Journal Hoboken mayor Dawn Zimmer would rather the honor go to some other locale....
Honestly, not much else happened. And the fact that we can't get too excited about Vinny's exit is just more proof that the show, like Pauly's sticky-fingered date, has worn out its welcome....
What with all the manufactured drama and probably prompted one-liners and non-stop cast-member tweeting during the broadcast, it was hard to get a spontaneous moment in edgewise. Still, we loved it....
Much of what we liked about the show is still there: Trash talk, binge drinking, drunken antics, a group house worthy of "Hoarders" and lots and lots of inane conversation. But, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing....
We totally get it when Snooki declares "Jersey Shore's" return to the Jersey Shore for season 5 "the best time of my life."...
It's a lot of hair gel, suntan lotion and skimpy clothing for the young adults featured in this reality series. After a first season spent in the beach town of Seaside Heights, N.J., the party moved south to Miami Beach for season two before friendships and flames were rekindled back at the original Jersey shore house in the third and fifth go-arounds. In between, a new type of renaissance ensued when the roomies brought their trademark fist-pumping and family dysfunction to Italy in season four. The historic city of Florence, it's safe to assume, may never recover.
