A teenage boy is found wandering, naked and dazed, in traffic. At a nearby youth detention center, authorities discover that this kid -- Kyle -- is a savant who's missing instinctive human behavior like joy, anger and love. Stranger still, he's missing the one thing every mammal has: a belly button. One of the center's psychologists, Natalie Trager, realizes that Kyle needs special attention -- so she brings him home to live with her family. Soon, Kyle starts to investigate his origins ... and some people aren't too happy about it.
Despite the warning from "Kyle XY" producers that the series would end in a cliffhanger, it was still a shock to see the magnitude of what was left up in the air.
It was truly a magical night on Kyle XY because 1) it made cynical Lori a romantic, 2) Jessi finally began to think less selfishly before acting and 3) something bad happens to Ablanda!
And just like that, with a few well-placed smiles, my aggravation turns to pity for Jessi on the latest Kyle XY. Jessi is just pure Greek tragedy. If she even so much as hopes -- like when she waits to meet her DNA mom Sarah -- you're just waiting for that other shoe to drop.
Oh, I am so filled with righteous anger from Kyle XY. Naturally, one of the targets of my ire is that upstart Jessi.
I'd love to blame Jessi for this latest Kyle XY drama, but she's really not at fault. Well, maybe indirectly.
You know, I've been very tolerant of Jessi's antics on Kyle XY since she's obviously the genetic problem child to balance out Kyle's more balanced, moral self, but honestly, if her behavior is the cause of his downfall, I will be very PO'd.
