Behind the walls of Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility in Indiana, news cameras capture the harsh realities of life in a maximum-security juvenile detention center. Viewers meet a number of boys, all between 12 and 21 years old, who've committed a variety of crimes, from sexual assault to gang-related violence. While the facility offers a number of special programs to try to help the inmates become young men who can contribute to society, not everyone takes the opportunities offered.
