Jess talks Schmidt into being her wingman as she tries to have a casual fling with a handsome stranger (Ryan Kwanten); Nick finds himself spending less time with Julia and more time with her assistant; Shelby invites Winston over.
Despite Nick's protests, Jess vows to befriend their cantankerous landlord (Jeff Kober), but her efforts end up revealing the changes the guys have made to the apartment; Schmidt thinks his boss (Gillian Vigman) is sending him mixed signals.
