After so many fights, suicide attempts, babies and a soap opera's worth of betrayals, Showtime's "Shameless" seemed to end its second season on a more low-key note. Were you expecting a little more action, or did you appreciate the more understated approach?...
"Shameless" is the network's No. 2 show only trailing "Dexter."...
Some scenes make producer John Wells think, "'Not only would I not want my parents to see that, or my grandparents, I actually don't want anyone I know to see that."...

Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy stars as Frank Gallagher, a single father of six. Frank spends much of his free time drinking at bars. The Gallagher children, led by oldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum), manage to raise themselves in spite of Frank's lack of parenting and unusual parenting style when he does choose to act like a father.
