Premise: This bloody, dramatic continuation of the Spartacus tale begins after the violent escape from the House of Batiatus that concluded ``Spartacus: Blood and Sand.'' With the Roman Republic beginning to feel the threat of the gladiator rebellion, Gaius Claudius Glaber and his Roman troops are sent to destroy Spartacus and his fledgling army of freed slaves before they can cause anymore damage. Though Spartacus' need to satisfy his personal vendetta with the man who condemned his wife is strong, he must decide if that is more important than keeping his newfound army together.
