Premise: Eleven aspiring fashionistas compete for an editorial job at Elle magazine by performing assistant tasks and editorial assignments for the magazine's fashion news director, Anne Slowey. Each week Anne fires one contestant, until the last assistant standing receives a grand prize valued at $100,000: an editorial position at Elle, a paid lease on a Manhattan apartment and a clothing allowance at H&M, all for one year.
