Premise: The famously tough Mike Tyson cradling a pigeon in the same hands that helped him become an all-time boxing champ is a strange image, indeed. But it's one Tyson cherishes. ``The first thing I ever loved in my life was a pigeon,'' he says. ``Pigeons are a part of my life.'' In ``Taking on Tyson,'' the Brooklyn native goes back to his roots and reconnects with his feathered friends by experiencing the bizarre subculture of pigeon racing. Yes, pigeon racing. Like many aspects of Tyson's complex life, this one is better seen to be believed.
