Premise: Tim ``The Freak'' Lincecum and Brian Wilson (the pitcher, not the Beach Boy) helped lead the San Francisco Giants to the team's first World Series title in more than 50 years in 2010 -- the team's first title since making the move from New York to the Bay Area in 1958. This docu-series follows Lincecum, Wilson, and the rest of the Giants' players, coaches and staff as they try to defend their World Series title in 2011. ``The Franchise'' provides unfettered access to the struggles, relationships (between one another and their families) and day-to-day lives of major league players from spring training to the All-Star Game and beyond.
