Drew Carey, who replaced Bob Barker following the latter's retirement, hosts a series of primetime specials that follow the basic format of the long-running daytime game show, but contestants play for cash and prizes that are substantially more valuable in these primetime editions -- with the top prize being $1,000,000. There are different ways contestants can win the million, depending on the episode -- on the big wheel, in specially selected pricing games, or by bidding within a certain amount of the actual retail value of his or her showcase in the final round.
