Hollywood wife Molly Kagan is stunned when her movie executive husband tells her he wants a divorce just before their 10-year anniversary, leaving her with limited income and few loyal friends. Determined to redefine herself and begin a transition from her mortifying role as a ``starter wife,'' Molly moves to Malibu and tries to make a fresh start, complete with new friends.
