The second season of Top Design is coming to a close, and I think we can officially declare its makeover a success. Tonight's episode had the perfect hint of drama, but kept the focus where it should be: on the designs.
Folks, I think it's time to put out an APB on Kelly Wearstler. Her absence is making Top Design 47% less enjoyable. Although...this episode's conclusion made the show 1000% more enjoyable, so I'm still excited for the finale, even if it's Wearstler-less.
Tonight on Top Design, we had two fairly run-of-the-mill challenges, one enormous tool, and a shocking twist ending that will leave you at the edge of your seat! Well, that may be overselling it a little.
Previously on Top Design: I go away for ONE WEEK (thanks for covering, Sarah!) and Wisit is eliminated, warbling away his sorrows in the greatest exit interview of all time. Noooooooo!!!!1!11!! Totally weak. You're on notice, judges.
Top Design asks the designers to go green -- and then go ahead with someone else's design choices. That seems like a bit much to ask. Plus, Eddie continues to be villainous, Wisit preaches the virtues of timelessness, and Andrea embraces color (sort of).
Reduce, reuse, respoiler.
Tonight on Top Design, the designers finally strutted their stuff as individuals! And, shocker of all shockers, the result was an episode focused on design rather than drama. Definitely a welcome treat for those of us who stuck around long enough to see it happen.
Tonight on Top Design, actual design gives way once again to drama as we face yet another team challenge. The phrase "panty-dropping chic" is also coined. So...just another night in reality television, basically.
On a scale of one to ten, tonight's episode of Top Design goes all the way up to eleven. Is it because of the makeover the show received? The new contestants? The sparkling designs? Not so much, in this case. Tonight's episode was legend-waitforit-dary simply because it featured some of my favorite former Project Runway contestants!
Hello, design-loving boys and girls, and welcome to the second season of Top Design! Thankfully, the magical elves at Magical Elves (the production company responsible for Project Runway and Top Chef) have taken over this season, and Top Design promises to be far less migraine-inducing.
