Premise: Survivors and eyewitnesses share their impressions of the awesome power of the tornado. Footage shot by ``storm chasers'' illustrates the damage caused by the spinning winds that can reach speeds of up to 300 mph, and the myriad lightning strikes that accompany them. Additionally, scientists explain how twisters are formed and some of the difficulties in predicting and preparing for the deadly storms and offer suggestions for surviving them.
