Wacky Races

Premise: This 1968 Hanna-Barbera cartoon series remains a favorite of viewers due to its large ensemble of assorted competitors and the uniquely designed vehicles that matched their personalities. Each episode would find these 11 colorful race cars (some driven solo, others manned in teams) zipping through two different locales in the United States, with a narrator providing play-by-play of the high-speed high jinks and ensuing results. Incorrigible cheaters Dick Dastardly and his snickering canine partner, Muttley, proved popular enough to be spun off into their own series the following year, as did the only female member of the cast, the always-primping Penelope Pitstop.
