During a routine patrol in his small town, Deputy Larry Stalder intervenes when he sees a woman held against her will by four men in black. The woman, Madeleine, is the key witness in a high-profile FBI case and her supposed captors are the agents assigned to guard her. Larry suspects the agents are crooked, however, and takes Madeleine to Chicago, where he hopes to solve the case himself.
