Entertainment magazine editor Sam Briggs is trying desperately to get the parents of his girlfriend, Sarah Clayton, to see the bright side of their imminent wedding, although having a baby on the way probably doesn't help -- nor does the fact that every time Sam tries to do something to win over his future in-laws, Dick and Angela, things go horribly, horribly wrong.
